Dr. Gloria Ruutiainen

I am the daughter of a war Veteran. I have a passion for helping Veteran's get the information they need in order to make their transition from military to civilian life more manageable.

I personally understand how an unexpected life event can alter your day to day ability to function. When a medical emergency struck my family, I discovered how the power of 1 mental health visit could give me the control I needed to move forward. This visit changed my life. I am honored that you may be willing to provide me with this same opportunity that was given to me, a chance to have a meaningful impact on your life.

I am from the greater Philadelphia area. I earned my Bachelor's Degree in English Literature at the University of Pennsylvania and worked in administration at several local schools before attending graduate school at Pepperdine University for my Masters Degree in Psychology. I later returned to the Philadelphia area and attended Chestnut Hill College (accredited by the American Psychological Association) where I earned an additional Masters Degree in Psychology and my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (Psy.D.). I completed my pre-doctoral and post-doctoral internships at Temple University's Tuttleman Counseling Center. I have been working full time for over 10 years as a licensed Psychologist in Pennsylvania.
